Franciscan Works’ Global Classmates Program Connects Your Classroom With Students in Liberia, West Africa.
Our Global Classmates program forms friendships between your classroom and students at Liberia Mission. Ranging in grades K-12th grade, there are vulnerable youth at Liberia Mission who are in need of sponsors to help provide their education, housing, meals, and medical care. Through a classroom sponsorship, your students will grow in compassion, generosity, and understanding while giving hope and support to their Global Classmate. Friendships, mutual respect, communication skills, and global competency develop in classrooms through the Global Classmates program!
How it Works
Fundraise
Choose a sponsorship level (see below) and frequency. Decide the best way for your classroom to contribute the sponsorship amount. This could include your classroom hosting a fundraiser or each child contributing a small amount.
Learn about Your Global Classmate
There are four sponsorship levels that can can be paid monthly, quarterly, or annually.
TAU: Provides School Tuition - $45/month
ST. ANTHONY: Provides School Tuition, Meals, and Hygiene Products - $135/month
ST. CLARE: Everything in St. Anthony Level, Plus Clothing and Medicine - $225/month
ST. FRANCIS: Provides Everything a Child Needs for the Year - $500/monthly
Global Classmates Interest Form
There are poor, orphaned, and abandoned youth ranging in grades K-12 at Liberia Mission who are in need of sponsors. Your classroom helps provide their education, housing, meals, medical and more. Learn more here.
You’ll receive an information packet about your Global Classmate and Liberia. Your class and their Global Classmate will get to know each other through letters and photos!
