Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. It’s simple and flexible, providing you with an immediate tax benefit while allowing you to easily support Franciscan Works over time. You can recommend a grant now to make an immediate impact, or you can use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts. DAF contributions help us meet the greatest needs at Liberia Mission and can be designated to a specific project area.
How to Make a Gift Through Your Donor-Advised Fund
If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), you can recommend a grant to Franciscan Works at any time. DAF grants are one of the simplest ways to direct charitable dollars you have already set aside with just a few clicks through your DAF sponsor's portal. You can also donate using DAFpay through Every.org.
You will need to provide the following information to your sponsoring organization:
Franciscan Works
1440 W. Taylor St. #1819
Chicago, IL 60607
Federal Tax Identification Number: 23-7116589
The Impact of DAFs
Recently, a donor recommended a grant through their Donor Advised Fund at an important time for Franciscan Works. Flexible support allowed Liberia Mission to respond where needs were greatest, helping sustain everyday essentials like meals, education, electricity, clean water, and care for the children and students we serve. At other times, DAF grants have helped advance special capital projects that strengthen and expand our mission, including initiatives like our high school renovation project.
Today, Liberia Mission is home to 32 children in our residential program and provides education to more than 600 students. Beyond our campus, our mission reaches hundreds of families and touches thousands of lives throughout Liberia. Gifts through Donor Advised Funds provide the flexibility to meet immediate needs while helping move important initiatives forward.
Every DAF grant becomes part of a larger story—strengthening a community where children can grow in faith, education, and family.
