St. Anthony of Padua Early Learning Center

We're excited to announce that we've opened an Early Learning Center at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School on Liberia Mission!

Over the summer, we made renovations to our former girls' dormitory to make way for the new Early Learning Center. For the entire month of July, our BWI high school students spent many hours assisting a local construction crew with renovations as part of their Summer Work Program, transforming the old dormitory into a safe and educationally conducive environment for our youngest students.

The Early Learning Center officially opened on September 5th. We moved our Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 students into this new facility. Additionally, we now offer an “ABC” class which is comparable to preschool in the United States. This class gives children ages 4-5 the opportunity to learn the letters of the alphabet, colors, shapes, and other fundamentals that will jump start their educational journey.

Although early childhood education is recognized as important to the development of Liberia’s educational sector, it remains rare. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our community!

We need your help! Will you help us build a playground for our students at the Early Learning Center? We will have a special fundraising segment during our 20 Years of Hope Virtual Fall Fundraiser on 9/30 at 7 PM CT. If you’d like to give now, please visit our fundraising page.
